An in-depth review was required so as the legitimacy and usefulness of this site as a generic medicine resource; therefore, I decided to do one and here are the findings:

If one goes through the FAQs one establishes Medstore-Online is not an online pharmacy but acts as a broker between different online pharmacies and customers looking for generic cures. Curiously enough, Medstore-Online doesn’t share its actual location and its credentials in the generic medicine selling area. However, it claims to be in business since 2009. As for the medicines stocked here, MedstoreOnline assures its customers that the pharmacies it deals with are fully licensed and their products are acknowledged by the FDA. This FDA is most probably Indian but Medstore Online doesn’t declare this at all. Medstore Online store also claims to provide medicines with a doctor’s prescription too but there is nothing mentioned in the FAQs or anywhere else on the site about it.

One can locate medicines organized under broad heads like Allergy, Anxiety, Arthritis, Diabetes, Schizophrenia, Men’s Health, etc. The Men’s Health area contains the erectile dysfunction treatment medicines. Although it’s listed on the site that both brand and generic erectile dysfunction treatment medicines are available here, the brand category is empty and only generics are available: A minimum of 60 pills of Generic Cialis (sold as 20 mg Tafalafil) can be ordered for $129.00. Generic Viagra (100 mg) is also available and a minimum amount of 30 pills can be bought for $115.00. This means that that the per pill price of generic Cialis is $2.15 and generic Viagra is $3.83.

Medstore Online only processes orders in the US currency irrespective of the country a customer belongs to. The customers can pay for their ordered medicines through Bank Wire, e-checks (for USA-based customers only), and Bitcoin too. But the order amount shouldn’t exceed $500 in the case of a single order. The ordered medicines are shipped through International Registered Airmail and may take anywhere from 14 to 28 days to reach the customers and the shipping charges are a flat $30 for Indian generics and $40 for EU products for all destinations.

The customer care department at can be contacted through any of the following ways: phone calls, email, or live chat. I was looking for prompt support so opted for the last option and got connected to a live chat agent right away. I was able to get to learn about some new information which hasn’t been mentioned on the site through the agent and she also offered me to walk me through the order placement procedure:

Additionally, one can always make a call to the separate phone numbers given on the site with respect to one’s location. The US customers can call on 18889276571 and UK ones on 08000885240. promises that in the case of nondelivery of the ordered products or any other problems, the unsatisfied customer can contact the customer care department to request a refund or a reshipment of his order within 6 months of order placement. However, in the case of bank wire, a transaction fee of $28 would be deducted from the order amount before its refund. Reviews

Equipped with enough background information, it was time to go and see if there was any evidence that customers of were satisfied with the services it was offering.

There was a review section on the website of MedstoreOnline itself and with the invitation for customers to submit their own reviews:

A customer by the Name Susan W. wrote on 6 May 2016 to the Medstore-Online to appreciate its “excellent” support which ensured that everything from the order placement to order delivery happened “without a hitch”. The support was available 24/7 through email or phone. She was promised by MedstoreOnline that her order would reach in 2-3 weeks and this is what happened exactly. This customer not only pledges to place more orders but also to “recommend” this store to her “friends”. Another review has been submitted by a customer called Shar Huber on 29 March 2016. This customer received his discreetly packed order from an “overseas” destination “speedily” with “helpful” usage instructions from a GP. He is thankful for the site’s “professionalism” and “efficiency”. Larry Molten is another customer who submitted his review on 1st January 2016 to laud the “excellent” customer care service and “product” of He found responding to his concerns in a “fast” manner.

Any online store wouldn’t allow anything negative to be posted about its services or products on its own website but popular user forums are unbiased; therefore, the reviews found there about the store are far more believable. Unfortunately, no negative or positive reviews were found related to on a pharmacy service reviewing forums, which raises a big question about its reputation as well as popularity. Reviews 2016

Scam Advisor is a very useful source for checking the background information about any website and it also had some information about as well:

Scam Advisor speculated the Medstore-Online may be working from Germany but its actual location has been hidden by its owners. Scam Advisor has found out that this online store generates lots of traffic but it may not have any reviews written about it yet because it is a new site on the block. Whatever might be the case, Scam Advisor cautions customers to carry out their transactions at this site with care. However, the safety score that Scamner assigned Medstore-Online is zero based on the following factors: The site doesn’t use the standard SSL certificate which means users’ personal data is not safe at this site; it’s visitors are slim in numbers, and its owner is using a free email service which makes its business look unprofessional. Coupon Codes isn’t currently offering its customers any discount codes or coupons that would have helped them save money.

However, there are some discounts being offered with customers’ choice of payment i.e., if they choose to pay for their order through Bitcoin or e-checks are going to get 15% discount on their orders. However, those choosing to pay for their orders through Bank Wire won’t be able to save anything on their orders and have to pay the regular price.

Conclusion appears to be a credible service provider of Indian generic medicines catering to certain customers in certain countries; however, one cannot ignore the fact that it has next to no independent reviews related to it but plenty of mixed reviews related to sites having the same name but different domains. The customer care support was very quick and claimed to be stocking European medicines as well as Indian generics but all one can find here are Indian generics. All of this points in the direction of Medstore-online having some problem with the authorities in the near past. The authenticity score of also isn’t very encouraging as well; it’s hiding its original location. Considering all these factors, I would give a rating of 1 only (i.e., poor). I certainly can’t place my order on the basis of positive reviews on a seller’s own website, as it’s very risky.
